:P Reminds me when my buddy Brandon & I were at our local indoor range & he was shooting his 2.5"(?) .454 Ruger Alaskan.

Our buddy Greg, who was in charge that day, came running in & told everybody to take a break, that he was turning the main lights off; no explanation given.  Then he came back in & told Brandon to shoot the Alaskan again...the fireball coming out of the end of it was RIDICULOUS!!!. Greg was howling with laughter and everybody else was just astonished.

My guess is blue dot.... Good size flash from that

I hope that little flash isn't impressive to you. Want impressive? Come to my house and I'll put you on a muzzle blast from hell. Try a 30-30 Contender with 35.0grs H335 under a 110gr carbine bullet. Muzzle flash is about 12 foot out and about 8 feet round. The load is surprising accurate too. I normally take the gun with me to public ranges in case I end up next to a city moron. I take one step back and touch a round off. It's like getting slapped with a 2x 4 if you're within 10 feet of me. At night, you'll be blinded after shooting the gun for about 30 minutes. It's about as bright as a welder and will light up targets at 100 meters. The entire setup for that load is loaded just for the muzzle flash. It's impressive but so is the 3oz SSK trigger in it.

Sorry to disappoint. Yes it was completely enjoyable.  :-*

It was my son's 1st time shooting my VALOR. And it was just some MAGTECH 180. It had just finished snowing and we went out to a box canyon 1/2 mile from my house. I'm sure that the lateness of the day had an immense effect.

But I found it cool.  :D

I would do off duty qualification indoor range running Underwoods 180s on timed course. Shooting from hip up close would split target. Range Master came out of office wanting to shoot G20. Good time's then. Back to regular cals indoors. Preference outdoor range.

Another angle with me shooting the Valor.   :P

Have not shot the 416 Rigby Encore at night yet.  95g of reloder 17 pushing a 350g soft point.  Out of respect for other shooters, it usually doesn't come out unless the range is empty.  Keep your mouth shut, of your ears will be ringing, even with plugs and muffs.  That thing has a concussion!!!  4600 ft*lb out of a pistol.
