When I sat down to shoot these on the bench I was expecting something fairly snappy, but I was most surprised to find they were quite mild to shoot, especially considering how fast they are going.

RDub01, I'm going to go out on a limb here with this one...The powder may be Maxxam / RIO powders - CSB1 or CBS1M  (this powder was sold as bulk powders here in the states)
The load data I have for these powders is very limited;
They show a 38 Spl with 143 JTC bullet over 5.1 grains @ 958 fps
They show a 357 Mag with 159 CTC bullet over 6.2 grains @ 1108 fps

CSB1 & CSB1M powder

CSB1 powder

Could be.. Sure looks similar.  It's nothing like anything I've seen before..
Whatever it is, it really smokes that 125gr pill downrange..

Buffalo Bore puts a heavy roll crimp on their revolver cartridges. ???  Doubt these would be recommended in any air weight guns! ::)
Thanks for sharing the pull-down info, its always great to see what's out there and how they make their numbers!
Buffalo Bore info
QuoteThese 38 SPL +P loads are generating low-end 357 Magnum, ballistics. If you have an older or more fragile 38 SPL, or if you are recoil sensitive, consider using our HVY Standard Pressure 38 SPL ammunition. It is safe to be fired in any 38 SPL revolver and it still packs much more punch than ordinary 38 SPL ammo.

Item 20B: 125gr. Jacketed Hollow Point. This is the Low velocity version designed to expand under 800 fps. It will mushroom violently and penetrate roughly 12 inches in human flesh.

?   1072 fps (319 ft. lbs.) -- S&W mod 60, 2-inch
?   1108 fps (341 ft. lbs.) -- S&W mod 66, 2.5-inch
?   1180 fps (386 ft. lbs.) -- Ruger SP101, 3-inch
?   1258 fps (439 ft. lbs.) -- S&W Mt. Gun, 4-inch

Yes, if you notice the crimp on these rounds, they seat the bullet cannalure well below the case mouth and use a factory crimp die and crush the brass into the cannalure.  I had to really wrap on the inertia puller to get the bullet out!
