I recently got a EAA P Match Pro, so far I have replaced the firing pin spring, and the recoil spring.  Both from the Wolff XP Calibration Pack.  Is there anything else I should be looking at changing or swapping out?  I'm running a 180 gr. HP over 10.7 grs. of Blue Dot if that makes any difference, it's a fairly brisk load that I'm going to use for hunting deer.

I asked the same thing about my Witness Stock III.

Not sure they share the same return spring guide rod or not, but that is what i was advised to replace.    The Hennings cone guide rod is what was recommended.
I also beefed up the return spring to about a 20-22# version.

Other than that, my Witness is stock.

At least in the Witness the stock guide rod had very little surface contact inside the frame.   Led to damage with stiffer loads.   I have been told that since I bought mine that the Witnesses were going to start using the same guide rod that I had purchased as the new stock one.   I have not verified if this took place or not.   I'm happy with mine.   

Like I said, not sure if this even applies to your pistol or not.

Thanks, the guide rod on mine definitely is not like the Henning one, so EAA is still using the old style (or at least they are on the P Match Pro).  Since my gun is polymer the block is removable, so I guess you could replace it if need be.  I'll keep an eye on it, and if it looks to be causing a issue, I'll get the Henning guide rod.

 Flat bottom, 20-22lb spring and a Henning Cone guide-rod has been the recipe used forever for the stiffest loads out there. All you will ever need!


Some change to a stiffer hammer spring, but all mine are stock. You might want to also look at cutting your ejector back to a minimum as well to help with brass throwing.
