What kind of velocity are you getting? Is faster speed obtainable by using a 6" aftermarket barrel in a G20? Any of you using 7" barrels, and if so what kind of velocity are you getting with that?

My 29SF is still my favorite gun. I've polished the barrel, the pins, the slide stop lever. I swapped the serrated trigger out for a G20 smooth trigger. I FINALLY got the plastic sights off of there. I replaced them with a set of Meprolights. I really wanted TFO's, but would you guys have passed up new Meprolights for $50 ? I'm running a Lonewolf 3.5# trigger, and she is a joy to shoot. The only piece I have left to get is a 19lb spring. I carry it with Underwood's 200gr Noslers. I've been debating on switching to the Xtreme Defenders.

Anyway, I've been absent for awhile. How are all you guys?

I am replying here rather than continue the XDm thread hijack.

I have one aftermarket barrel for the G20, but it is a 9X25 in stock length, not a longer barrel.

My G20 tracks about 10-15 fps slower than my 1911's in 10mm, and is about the same as my Witness' guns.  About what you would expect from .5" less barrel.

I would expect a 6" barrel to buy you about 30-35 fps over the stock 4.6 length, and a 7" barrel about 50 fps over stock length.  Several guys here have longer barrels and they can chime in with real world experience.

Most of the time I shoot my G-20 SF using the factory 10mm barrel and velocities are close to the 5" velocities my of other guns.
I do have a Lone Wolf 5.5" 10mm barrel for it but haven't tested with it yet.
I will say the 6" 9x25 barrel has a good performance gain over the shorter barrels.

My only 9x25 barrel is a Lonewolf 3.8" . I should have went with a 4.6".

Yea the velocity in the my carbine is only slightly higher. But I love the 7" BBL in the 40 and it not tough to carry in cheast rig for hunting.

Ridgerunner, who manufactures that 7 inch barrel?

That looks bad ass. Some people dont like the look of the G40, but I do. I'm trying to decide if my next pistola will be a Delta Elite, G40, or a G20SF with a 6" barrel. Any of you chrono a G20 with the Glock 6" hunting barrel?
