Hey guys,

Ive search with no real hard answers so I thought I would just ask them here. I finally have my Tanfoglio Hunter 10mm on order. I have a couple of questions.

1. What is the factory #lb recoil spring?

2. Do I need to use longslide springs or fullsize recoil springs? I ask this because the guide rod assembly looks like it uses shorter springs.

3. What is the stock #lb of the hammer spring?

4. do I use any of the hammer springs or does it have to be SA only specific?

5. Can the 22 conversion kit be used with it and is the 22 slide long enough to go flush with the Hunter dust cover?

6. Same question on the 9mm longslide conversion kit. Is it at least long enough to go flush with the Hunter Dust cover?

For 1-4, I would suggest a call to Wolff Springs.  They have good info on their web-page and probably can provide specific answers, or perhaps dimensions for reference.

For 5-6, I would call EAA.

1. Weak... I think about 14lbs
2. Long Slide
3. No idea and works fine in this unit given the LS
4. Same as 3
5. Don't even think about it. The kits don't run right and aren't worth it... doesn't even lock the slide back
6. You more than likely would run into some fitment issues. You could buy a 9mm Match for near what the conversion kit runs these days

I would also add, having thought over #6...Look hard at a 38 super barrel.  You will just need the barrel and magazine, not a whole new top end.  I have one for my Match and love it.

But, 38 super is not significantly cheaper to buy for than 10mm, so if the goal is cheap ammo, it's a miss.  If the goal was a .35[5-7] caliber upper, it is the bomb.
