Me.....I like double action. Just got a Ruger Redhawk not too long ago.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

We will call this a reintroduction. You can see my initial introduction on the first page. Looking at my last post its been just about 2 years to the day since I said a word here. I haven't completely left the site. I come back from time to time and check on you all. Its not that I was being rude or anything. I was kind of embarrassed to show my face around here. I sold my Rock Island 10mm to buy S&W Shield for the wife. I've also changed jobs. I still work part time at the old one and actually brought some of the old one with me to the new one. So I stay pretty busy. I have gotten back into the 10mm. I got a Witness from my dad and recently purchased a Gen 4 G20. I really want one of the new Ruger revolvers. I haven't decided on the Redhawk or the Blackhawk. Ive also gotten into 300 Blackout and built an AR. Wife kinda gave me a little hell about building another "assault rifle". She asked why I wanted it and said, "You can't hunt with it." So I shot a whitetail doe with it the next fall. I asked her if the venison tasted any different shot with an "assault rifle" than it does with a bolt action. Shoulda kept my mouth shut. I still do hand loading. Im up to 15 calibers now. Ill be around a bit more. Until then take care.

Retirement/birthday present.
Lookin at getting a Kimber 1911 Long Slide in 10mm unless I get talked into 45 ACP/45 Super. Wanted a 10mm And a long slide since AMT came out with the Javalina.
For 50 yards and under for buck and boar anyone have a preference for 45 Super over a top power 10mm?

Ten Man

Howdy!  I have technically been a Member since AUG 2015, but today was my first post.

I'm retired, but do some options trading for "fun money," and have owned several 10MM hand guns for the last 6 years.
My most recent 10MM acquisition was a Ruger New Model Blackhawk stainless steel convertible in 10mm and 40S&W, with 6.5" barrel.
It was a Christmas present from my wife.  I have not shot it, yet.  As soon as I do, I'll tell you all about it. ;D

I've been trying to find one of those Ruger 10mm convertibles I can afford. Still looking. :(

NOI

My name is Eric and I'm in SE Michigan. I've been circling the 10mm round, specifically, for a few years due to a friend's enthusiasm. I bought two firearms in the caliber last year and I'm finally getting around to really exploring what they and it can do.

I've always been fascinated by heavy magnum pistol calibers, my first pistol shots coming from a .41 magnum revolver many moons ago. In terms of semiautomatic pistols, the 10 finally became mainstream enough to me to go all in.

Anyway, here to learn and perhaps share some of my experiences along the way.

Deltaman

My real name is Barry and I live at the far northern end of California near the Oregon border. I'm a retired law-enforcement officer, former range master and currently a licensed private investigator.  One of my favorite handguns is my customized Wilson Combat Delta Elite Team. I've had it for many years and have no problems with it at all. I use Double Tap ammo and have been pleased with their products over the years.  Because I tend to use rather hot ammo for my Delta elite, given the unsupported barrel, I recently installed a 24 pound recoil spring from Wilson. It has stopped the battering that I began to feel, softened the recoil and still functions reliably.  I am looking forward to exchanging information with other fans of the 10 mm cartridge.
