So I want a 10mm derringer. Caliber is decided. How about some load suggestions?
How about finish? Would it look better high polished or regular?
Grips...I would really love black G-10 with red hourglass or Delta emblems to complement my DE. Black just seems like it would really make the stainless pop.
I'm set on an American derringer at this point. I inquired with Bond and got the impression that I was bothering them. Thank you so very much.

have you ever shot a derringer? years ago I bought a .38 spl derringer for my first CCW. I soon found out that there were better options to carry. I still have it. I have loaned it to friends when they said they want a derringer. after they shoot it a few times they are cured. I bet a 10mm derringer would really be a handful when you touch it off!

Have I ever shot a derringer? No, but I did stay at a Holiday inn Express last night...haha. Just kidding...
Seriously I have fired little wonders like max load .357 in scandium and 3" .44 magnums. I'm not scared of recoil or even getting scuffed up. I'm looking at this for a backup to my 10mm for off grid adventures.
Pros are two independent firing pins, few moving parts and nothing to get jammed up in tight spaces like a sleeping bag or a pocket. Cons are diminished velocity, capacity, and sight radius. It's not like I won't have a G29 for more formal tasks.

I have a Bond Arms Defender with a 3.5" barrel in 10mm. Got the gun from my father in law with the 45/410 barrel and new barrel is early Christmas present. Bond Arms had a good sale on barrels recently. Tried to get both pins in the picture. I promise they are there.

I have Bond arms as well get the trigger smoothing package they are built like a tank and are accurate once you understand how each barrel is regulated.

Will definitely check on that!

I'm interested to see what American will put together for me. They seem nice and warm folks. For something that will be a lot shot and a lot looked at I like the aesthetics of the American much more. An advertised five pound trigger pull is a lot more exciting than 8.

I was put off by the forced multi barrel deal with the Bond. I've got an Encore and it seems like each barrel I have only gets used until the new one comes in. They also wouldn't entertain taking an order for just a 10mm.  Seems like if those barrels are so easy to change, the sales folks would have done so.
