How fast can polymer coated cast bullets be pushed?

The_Shadow

People are using them in rifles...I think around 2500 fps give or take.

Thanks I've Been loading 10mm for close to 30 yrs. and have never approached max velocity, I would like to give it a go without having to shell out the money for jacketed bullets.

what kind of results have you guys been having with these bullets, both pushing them hard and moderate velocities???

I haven't started polymer coating my cast bullets yet.  But I have driven some of my cast bullets from 800 fps to 1400 fps in 10mm and over 1800 fps from the 9x25Dillon.
For my 10mm I size at 0.4015" and use White Label's Carnauba Red that they use up to 2700+  fps.   As I size with the STAR sizer, this lube fills the lube groove or grooves it is a fairly fast process.

I will eventually do some of the polymer coatings, but what I have been doing has been working well for me and is very cost effective...

I have poly coated a bunch of bullets for different calibers.  223 up to 45 ACP.  I even coated some big 30's and loaded them in 300 win mag.

For plinking they do great.  I have not done any serious accuracy testing yet.
