I was listing some guns for sale locally and wanted to add this Delta Elite. I could not find anything about this one. I bought it used several years ago with no box. A call to Colt told me that it was manufactured in 1988 but no other info yet. It appears to be an electroless nickel frame and the slide is bright blue. Any other information or ideas of what I should ask for it?

A call to the Colt Archive this morning turned up some info on the gun. First I was told that Colt never made a Delta Elite with electroless nickel, so the gun must have been refinished at some point. When I mentioned "Elite 10" he said that was a run of 400 made in 1987 and was indeed electroless nickel/ blue slide from the factory. I guess that is why I could not find much information on it.

I bought this several years ago. At the time I found a little information about it but this time I was lucky to find one or two pictures when I ran a Google search for "Delta Elite" images. Glad the guys at Colt were willing to share some info on it.

Yeah, I am watching his sale before I price mine. Just curious what his reserve is.

His is an unfired NIB collectors gun.  And he never gets anywhere near his reserve.

The honest value of yours in fired condition with no papers is going to be about the same as a NIB DE.

I have been thinking $1200 so I am not far off from your figure. Among the listings you shared in your other post, one on Armslist is a different version (the 10/40) and the other one has expired (In my experience that one has scam written all over it). The third one appears to have been an Elite 10 but had been ridden hard and put up wet. Still brought almost $900 so it is good for comparison. I had not even thought to look at Armslist because it is unususl for me to find anything interesting that does not end up being a scam. I have sold a couple of guns on there but I have only been successful in one purchase. That one was a 90 minute drive away and I had a good conversation with the seller and it was cash at pickup.

Keep it! I have a Match 10, same run of 400 and will be a heirloom for my son.
