Like? I like them all.

I have an 870. It is OK, but it could be better. It sometimes jams with Winchester el-cheapo steel base shells.

I like the old Winchester trench guns and the Ithaca M37 shotguns.

I have a Remington 870 Marine Magnum 12ga. because it has a solid reputation for reliability and I was able to add a shorter Mesa Tactical pistol grip stock as well as Mesa's 7 rd shell carriers on the stock as well as to the side of the shotgun itself. I also changed out the forearm to a Surefire light forearm. I plan on adding Wilson Combat ghost ring sights. The Remington 870 Police Magnum shotguns at my agency had Wilson Combat Ghost Ring sights and they greatly added to the accuracy of slugs which we had to qualify with at 25 yards. My favorite shotgun is the Ithaca 37 Defense 7 shot shotgun. 7rds in the magazine tube and bottom eject with ability to hold the trigger down and pump shoot all 7 (or 8 with one in the chamber) rounds out as fats as you could work the pump action make this a great shotgun. It's also nicer, easier, and faster to manipulate because it is lighter and smaller than other shotguns. I just wish they made a side saddle shell holder for it (they don't) and ghost ring sights (they don't).

Being a "lefty", my first shotgun was a Ithaca Model 37. I think it was called a "Featherweight" back then. When I got into Law Enforcement, the Remington 870 was king, so I had to adapt to that platform.

When I retired I switched to the Mossberg 590-A1 and the 835, as the ergonomics suited me much better. I gave my 590-A1 to my son-in-law and I converted my 835 to HD use with a barrel swap to an 18-1/2" cylinder bore:

Mine is an 870 that I picked up used from a friend that bought it from the Treemont (sp?) Pennsylvania PD. It was loaded every morning and unloaded every night. Beat up stock but the action is smooth as silk.

Any thoughts on the Benelli SuperNova?  I have been looking for a good pump and I am not a fan of the 500 and 870.

The Nova/SuperNova are on my short list.  Great guns from what I read.

My little brother is a Gov't trapper by trade. He gets paid to do what the rest of us in Texas pay to do. He probably owns 50 shotguns of various kinds. When the hunt is serious, as in crawling on yer hands and knees thru brush so thick you can't see but 5 feet in front of you, the Benelli Super Nova comes out. I've never know the gun to fail despite the fact that I doubt he has ever cleaned it in the 10 years he's owned it. His idea of cleaning one is to swish it around in a stock tank and shaking the water out of it. FWIW, the State of Texas has helicopters and fixed wing hunting aircraft that fly 5 days a week killing target animals. They use only the Benelli Super Nova. Some of those guns probably have close to 500 cases of ammo run thru them and still working. It has to be the toughest shotgun ever made.

Avoid the new 870 Express like the plague.   I had the action lock up on a new one the first time I took it out of the box.  Took it back to the dealer.   He pulled out another one and pumped it himself.   Same result.  Got my money back.

Get the 870 Police model for more $$$.    Coppers can't afford to have crap guns fail them.   These are much better made.

I love 870 Wingmasters, I've owned many over the years. My favorite is my Wingmaster Classic in 16 gauge. Its made on the 16ga frame and was only available for a couple of years in the early 2000s, seems a unique and rare piece.
For home defense, I like my Benelli M1 20ga w/24" bbl. very light and fast handling. Loaded with 3" #4 copperplated turkey loads(a great two roomlength option!), its also a great upland gun!

The Mossberg 590 Mariner has worked well for me, no issues whatsoever

870 (the old Wingmaster type, not the new Express crap-ola)

or

the old Winchester 1300 / Defender.

You sir will do jail time for malicious wounding, using Turkey loads for home defense. You know that will not stop a threat other than just the cruelty of it all. Do yourself a favor and get you some Federal 00 with Flight Control Wad.

Your right if one is shooting at twenty yards, however at 12-18feet(why would you be shooting any further unless you own a mansion)it will definitely stop a threat. Go out and shoot a watermelon at 15 feet with the above load(Im sure you have done extensive testing duplicating this exact scenario), with a similar wound channel to the chest cavity, combined with 1000 foot pounds of energy It will definitely stop a threat immediately.
On the other hand, with all the "bedroom gear " you have, a good prosecutor could easily argue you have a fixation on shooting people, and that you shouldn't have been allowed weapons in that state of mind to begin with. You need an education in actual incidents if you don't think a person has malice toward a threat when their family is at risk. I would propose it in fact takes malice to draw down and pull the trigger on another human being in a self defense scenario.
To help you understand the mindset of armed or deadly conflict, one man on another I suggest reading: On Killing-Maj David Grossman
And yes we get it, you don't like 870s.

A supernova is on my list as well. I love my nova, but you cannot change the stock. The Supernova has a replaceable stock that can be swapped for a pistol grip stock which I love on a turkey gun.

I have always been intrigued by the chuck a shell but don't drop one from the tube button, but that button was always kinda finicky on my nova.

Finish is awesome on my nova as well, its the camo version from about 10 years ago. Slipped crossing a creek and smacked the stock on a rock before I managed to stop my slide. Not a scratch from that!

I also have one of the B square mounts for it, nice during turkey season with a simple red dot.
