Hi, my first post. I own a Glock 20 SF with KKM barrel, getting ready to pick up my Delta Elite. KKM shows a drop in barrel for this pistol, has anyone tried these or have any info? Hog hunting is my thing and I plan on using the Underwood loadings in 200gr. The Glock KKM barrels support the chamber better and allow you to use these rounds, hoping the Delta barrel does the same?

gdonley308, Welcome to the forum.  I have heard lots a good things about the KKM's for the Glocks.  Not so much as for the DE.
You should contact KKM and ask specific questions about the cartridge case support.  The Delta barrels are a rampless design and just how much support vs. reliability is hard to say.  If you do decide to get one please post a picture to show the differences...

The_Shadow, thanks! I think I'm just going to get the SSE SAO in Stainless. It has a supported chamber and by the time I get through buying the DE, the KKM Barrel, and having someone fit it, I'll be over the cost of the SSE.

I would also add that a drop in 1911 barrel rarely is.  I would expect to have some level of fitting required.

I have a KKM for my G20. Sorry no experience with them in a 1911 style.

I will just add that I have two Delta's and I would not be afraid to shoot any factory or book loads with them. My go to, everyday load, sends a 180 grain bullet between 1275-1300fps out the barrel. I have shot slightly hotter through them.  They are harder on brass though.  So are my stock Glock barrels.  If you do not reload or worry about your brass I would highly recommend the Delta.  Great guns.  The Dan Wesson's are very good as well in my experience.  Very good chamber support.  Proper recoil spring is a must in any 1911. Especially 10mm.

I'm running a KKM barrel on my Glock 20SF.  I shot everything from 135 grain JHP to 230 grain cast with excellent results.

Yep, got a KKM for my G20..  Have no complaints at all.  I use it mainly for cast and plated bullets, but it will shoot anything well.  Well worth the investment..

Are the KKM Glock barrels throated short or long? Wondering about an AM barrel that will be kind to heavy hard cast and with ramp geometry to feed reliably.

Most KKM glock barrels ive seen have had a pretty generous throat.  Storm lakes had zero throat, LW has had a mix depending on the round.  I just grabbed a new alphawolf 10mm barrel and it has great case support and a throat that will feed any wfn out to what the mag will allow.

I posted somewhere else my experience with the KKM 10mm barrel.  I got the 5 inch threaded for Lone Wolf Suppressor.  It is great and after 3 years I have no complaints at all.  ONE THING; however, make sure you tell KKM that you intend on using the HEAVY ammo (from UNDERWOOD - there the best IMHO, Buffalo Bore or Double Tap),  I had to send mine back as it gave me several FTF (failure to Feed), called them up,and they said " we have to re-size-modify the bullet chamber for people that use the heavy loads".  You figure that anyone that would by a $300.00 barrel would be using the GOOD AMMO, whatever!!!  Once I got the barrel back, it NEVER "FTF" again, EVER.  I loved it, (LOVE IT) especially when I use the Lone Wolf Muzzel Brake; when combined with the DPM Recoil Reduction System (Triple Spring system), the recoil is just about the same as a +P+ 9mm round.  The DPM really made a difference.  Here is DPM's Link:

My experience with the KKM is similar. I've been able to handload DoubleTap's 200 grain WFNGCs and Beartooth's 200 grain WFNGCs without having to send my barrel back to KKM. I just had to seat the bullets to 1.250 for proper feeding. Any longer than that and I couldn't load a Glock magazine with more than 10 rounds before they bound up the magazine and they wouldn't feed reliably. I also had to make sure I crimped them sufficiently to fit in the chamber. It will be obvious if they are not properly crimped if you do the drop or plunk test and drop a loaded round into your chamber. It's easy to see if it drops fully into the chamberl or not. I'll be loading some Montana Bullet Works 200 grain WFNGCs in a month or so as well.
