Howdy;

new to this site; interested in improving my 10mm handgun loads

My main use is range match games with 10mm for the bowling pins. 
10mm does a fine job knocking them off the table.  All I gotta do is find a load I can shoot well 

Have a nice new Sig 220-10 "Hunter" model.  Been working with 165 and 180 of various recipes.

so far so good....I seem to be more accurate with 165 moderate loads for pins

What velocity are you running ht e 165's at?

I think Underwood loads them up to 1400.

Haven't chronoed real velocity yet.  Book values are around 1100-1200fps more or less.

Too fast = pin destruction; the 44 mag guys get chewed out for wrecking the pins.
Too much muzzle blast distracts me & my flinch returns....hard to get rid of it.

"just right" and the magic happens.....align/squeeze/pin moves back a couple feet & falls to the ground.  Life is good.

happy trails, welcome to the forum and congrats with the Sig 220.  You might want to try a 200 grain cast bullets or plated at about 950 to 1180 fps to kick those pins.  Not sure what powders you have tried but you might like some BE-86 to drive them to the pins.

BE-86 7.0 grains may be good to go.  You can try 7.2, 7.4 and 7.6 grain loadings as well to see how the gun cycles and recoil pans out!
