Hey guys,

Just to update you guys I haven't gotten my pistol yet, it'll be here in a couple days. I got a few boxes of armscore stuff and 2 boxes of sig v crown. Do I need to get some XTPs for woods carry or will the v crown work well enough? I'm using it for defense against bears, Bob cats (though I think I could do that with a 22), mountain lions, hogs and angry poachers. I have a ranch in southern oklahoma with all of the above.

Now I love my 3 10mm pistols and Mechtech CCU. But for bears I am breaking out my .454 Casull with 300 grain bullets!

Understandable, but I want a do it all pistol, so I think 10mm with 17 round capacity will slaughter any black bear I see haha.

Black bear should be good if you do your part.

Browns...not so much.

Couple years back there was a PSA about bears.  Said to wear bells or other noisemakers so you wouldn't sneak up on one, and to carry pepper spray.  Also said to learn about bear sign, or scat.  Black bear droppings have berry seeds in them and smell like poop.  Brown bear droppings have bells and noisemakers in them and smell like pepper spray.

Hahaha funny scat remark. And I'm aware they are usually friendly but there are rare instances of them seeking out humans to murder. Happened 50 miles away

Well, you have your camp gun, and I have mine. Yeah if all I had was a 10mm, I would want some hi cap mags.
