I just purchased a 1911 chambered for the 9X25 cartridge.  It is a Para double stack frame with a Colt Delta slide.  It has a ramped 5" Briley barrel and bushing.

The gun came out of an estate and the former owner was a personal friend of Wayne Novak and the seller claims that Novak built this pistol for him but there are no markings on it.  Whoever built it did an excellent job.

My question is what weight recoil spring should I run in this pistol?  Thanks.

I run the 22 lbs in both mt S&W1006 and the Glock 20 even 40S&W ammo will cycle just fine with these springs in each.
The 1911 may need a higher rate spring like those running the Underwood ammo, which run with 22 - 25 lbs depending on the main spring in use.

Thanks Shadow, that is what I thought but I decided to double check.

My only experience with the 9X25 was a 5" Barstow barrel in a stock Glock 20 and the pistol operated fine with my handloads.
