I thought it was worth trying the Colt round.

Have you chronod the Speer yet? I just shot some the other day and it feels quite warm. Will buy again at some point. Very high quality.

In the pull-downs I looked in two two 115's from Speer one measure 6.4 grains and the other 6.6 grains of BE-86, these are nice loads.  Yes they are at the 1200 + fps

I ran them the other day with the others. I haven't gotten around to putting all the data up yet. The entire line of Lawman 115, 124 and 147 all have oomph. These hit 1300 FPS in the 4.75" and I wasn't really ready for that!

EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1310, 1324, 1328, 1296, 1292. Average = 1310 FPS/ 438 LBS
