Taller Front Sight For A Sig 220?

My sig 10MM really likes the 200 grain Noslers and XTP's with long shot powder. As in one ragged hole at 25yds. The only problem is it shoots them about two inches high at 25yds. Does sig or anyone offer a higher front sight? I may just shoot 180's and see if they print lower. I will have to say the Sig is one of the finest guns I have ever owned.

If the windage is correct, 2" high at 25 yds. is HIGHLY desirable. What are you trying to fix? Shoot a variety of bullet weights and velocities at varying distances before trying to fix what may not be broken.

Are you using a dot on or dot under hold?

Dot under. The sight came loose from the base and I called the factory and they said they was a set screw under the sight that keep it from moving. I lock tight the set screw and now the gun is shooting dead on a 25yds with the 200 grain bullets. I had some 180 Noslers loaded with power pistol powder and decided to try those yesterday to see how they would shoot. They cut a ragged hole at 25yds  like the 200 grain bullets. Man this gun is accurate! Now I want a 220 45ACP.

And you'll be able to use the same mags for both too

If you truly decide that you need to change your sight on the P220.    And in the spirit of honoring your original question.

Here is at least one location where you can get different sights for the P220.

For front sights it looks like you have two choices.   #6 and #8 front posts.   For the life of me I can't remember which one ships on the P220 10mm.

On all my P2xx series pistols I use a POA/combat hold or 0 o'clock hold.   I cover the target with the front sight post.   That is dead on generally for the P2xx series.   Interesting enough on my P320 series I use a 6 o'clock hold (where I line the front sight post under the target).

Everything I have read from Sig over the years is that they ship them for a POA/combat hold.   At least until they came out with the P320's that seemed true.

Good luck.
