He says he shouldn't  have a problem, though others say they are to hard to work on, once  the barrel is  done and seen thst it isb in working status  im sure he will be  happy to take on others

Trust me i will keep yous  up to date step by step... im hoping  if a decent  number of us do this with the usp,  maybe  some company will hav thr balls to make a drop in 10mm barrel for   usp 45, hk45, and hk45c  once they see  they would make the money.

Just got back from my gun shop with my H&K USP 40. Thankfully it won't be a 40SW long haha. Beautifully worn, but very clean. One step closer to the finished  product and a true 10mm USP

No, because they will not  fit in the 40 mag, however  the  hk45/c  mag holds them and fits magwell tight.  My hk45c  mags are just a tad short.  Need to get hk45 mag  to try and mod to fit nicely in frame

Here  i have  12 rounds  of  10mm underwood  in a hk45c mag. The prob is the hk45c  mags is  just a tad to short to lock and load, the hk45 mag is longer and  should lock in, maybe even able with a jetfunnel.  Thinkin the  hk45  mags hould hold 15 or 16 rounds of 10mm. And  is i get the +3 mase pads  can have 20 rounders  if  i want most likely  time will tell

Ok so update on the HK USP.
Still yas a 40sw barrel. But i was able to borrow an HK45 mag from a friend.
It holds 16 rounds of 10mm!

That also means it hold 16 rounds of  40sw. And yes i tested it today. 2 mags  with three malfunction 2 malfunctions  were the last round open failed (an easy fix with a dremmer to make the slide catch not rub the mag) and the last round in the first mag flipped up and  not into barrel. I think this is due to how short the 40 was compared to the mag and also limp wristing with one hand as i tried to video record myself while  doing  so. I think with proper length 10mm and  stance will have no issues.


Now the hk45 mag does fit, but so snug it isnt drop free. (Not sure how drop free STI mags are) For me that is not an issue but other it might be. I also found  eaa witness 10mm mags with the magwell so could easily be modifiedand cheaper than sti mags. Ive also found out that usp full size base plates fit the hk45 mags. This means  jetfunnel base plates fit them as welll. This is good news  as the hk45  mags stick out just a tad bit more than jet funnel mags. Meaning a jetfunnel kit is more than likely to work. The only  thing im not sure of if i will be able to pull the mags out with the jetfunnel magwell.
But i think Taylor freelance +3 baseplate will allow me to pull them out and  prob give me +4 or 5 in 10mm  making it a  20 or 21+1 pistol with a slightly  extended  magwell. I will also be purchasing an elephant foot and trimming to fit without use of a jetfunnel kit for those who choose to go semi flush over a slightly extended option.

So far i think things are going smooth.

Couldn't  find a  40sw "sport" barrel.  But ordererd a  a  threaded  barrel and it has  shipped and on its way to my gunsmiths..

Now  i  need to find who has thr best priced  HK45  mags or  10round  elephant foot  HK45c mags and order a few

Thanks for the update. I have been wondering how it was going.

So my barrel is at my gun smiths, will be done the day the chamber reamer arrives (he ordered it, but the barrel shipped faster). I also  got  my 10 round  HK45c elephant foot mags in..i modified one so far to work with the USP.  Yes foot is a little sloppy. I did mean to make  it a slight V shape to allow me to pull  it out( the mags wont  drop  free  but with the elephant foot pull out simular toa glock gen 1)(side note I think it has something  to do with the USP mag release, and may try a hk45c  mag release to see if makes any difference)
Yes  i cut  to  far so it looks a little  sloppy, but doesn't effect how it  works.  I also took a dremmel to where the mag rubbed the slide catch and took off just enough for it to move freely.  Will post more soon!

Just got word that my gunsmith received the reamer today. He is working on thr barrel now and i will be picking it up in the morning!
