I had an odd  experience that resulted in some damage to my 10mm aero survival pistol. Looking at the remains of the casing, my gunsmith determined I had an out of battery discharge.

Part of the casing remained in the chamber. My smith tried to remove the case but the tapout wouldn't engage the case remnant without damaging the chamber. He said he could try to use a punch and peal the case enough for the tapout to grab hold. He did get the brass out  but wound up with a burr in the chamber.  My gunsmith said using a reamer would be the best way to correct it, but he doesn't have one, or know of anyone who does.

Does anyone know of a gunsmith in the central VA area who has a 10mm or .40 reamer? Any contact info would be appreciated.

BTW: The outside of the chamber was mic'd and visually inspected. The chamber didn't suffer any damage other than the burrr described above.

Is the burr near the end of the chamber?  There is a guy in OHIO that does some reaming work, You might could work with valve grinding compound and a rifle casing depending on where the burr is...

You might could try fine emery cloth on a brass or aluminum rod trying to work just the burr...

You can rent them for about $30 as I recall.

Or, you can buy one from Brownells for about double:  http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/barrel-tools/reamers/centerfire-reamers/pistol-chambering-reamers-prod17655.aspx

Probably get $40-$50 for it here after you use it.
