Another vote for versatility here. Plus the flat shooting aspect and the power.

I think most of us are power freaks.

   I think the biggest thing is it can do stuff the other pistol calibers can't. It's kind of snappy too

Some truth to that, I think.  I'm guessing that many (most?) 10mm semi-auto shooters who also own and shoot revolvers prefer the magnums (.357, .41, and .44) for the same reason.

Very true. I own a .44 mag Smith as well.

Asking me why I like the 10mm is like asking me why I like the 44 Magnum ... Because it's there!

It's different.  Wherever I go I never see another person shooting a 10.  I like having something different.

I like it because of the power and velocity of the cartridge. I think us "10" shooters are a unique bunch. Yes I have other calibers, but if I had to choose one it would be the "10". Yes I do hand load it to.

I have been shooting the 10mm Auto cartridge since 1991. I studied the round and didn't "leap right into it". I am an educated man and use my mind extensively before I make such decisions. The 10mm Auto Pistol cartridge currently occupies no less than five of my handguns. It should tell you how committed I am to the round.

Enough said
