The Gold Cup has a lot of upgrades over the Elite
The Slide is milled for and has; Fully Adjustable Rear Sights and a deeper / beveled Ejector Port
And the Trigger has an adjustable Over Travel

I love my DGC
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

What else does your DGC have that a DE doesn't?
I bought a DSXXXXE around 2009 don't remember off hand, I bathed it in brake fluid to get the junk off, let it dry and warmup, foamed it with CLP'
drip dry, bought Corbon, 135,150,165,180,loaded 2 of each per mag and blasted away,WOW, 30yds alto about a inch or 2 high except the 135 shot an inch higher.
Rifle like accuracy, not a blip,2 mags,3 and 4 had o give my neighbor a few shots, his heart was palpitating.
Oh,the barrel was full. I picked up my brass, measured them, all were in normal condition. For those of you who might say I didn't measure the brass, my
mic goes to 5 digits accurately. Life is good Lee

Remember the wide steel trigger of a Delta Gold Cup will bring with it the tiny sear depressor and even more tiny sear depressor spring.  These parts are also very hart to find these days.

I have a late 80's DE and love it. I hand load hardcast for practice and dont shoot hotrod loads in it. In 3000 rounds never had a FTF! I would buy another one if budget would allow

I have a new -Delta Elite- DSXXXXE SS -BARREL IS 99.5% supported. Has frame barrel ramp-the tiny area of barrel ramp is only a small spot and still when looking at it looks full support.
Has incredible accuracy at 30yds bought 4 extra Colt SS mags bought 5 boxes of CORBON 10mm 2 135, 2 150 1 165, 2 180. mixed up equal amounts, 2 each kind in a mag, gun dirty with
factory stuff on it out of box, everything looked good, used blank side made alternating circles, 3 on top 2 under three two mine is great couldn't ask for better, every mag fed, not a hiccup.
I removed slide, grips, sprayed, let warm, soaked in BF cp, hung over sink, its ready. Finish scratches easy, hair line gotta be careful.

I have a 1988 model Delta Elite that was very abused when I bought it 3 years ago for $1000.....yup, I waaaaaay overspent, but I had to have it.  Had a Clark Customs fully supported/ramped bbl fitted and added Trijicon nite sites and a few other personal goodies.  I now have a $2000 customized Colt Delta Elite that shoots better than I can see and will handle any factory ammo I want to put through it.  It is now my edc gun.

Get the Delta Elite.   Tracy

TSP-I went on the Under  and BB-their ammo 10mm is very light,11 or12 with 180. Thats not hot or even warm.
My hot 9's are 1400 with 115, my 40 is hotter than any ten I saw. My ammo is CORBONS
If you go to hodgdon, they are mildish at 1400 fps with 180's, with VV the slowest as usua lHOWEVER IF YOU GET YOUR HANDS whoops on vv and noslers
first reloading books before the govt got then to change reduce loads. Lee
