True, but it still must be taken seriously, as they are not just posturing. ...

Most of the co-sponsors, if not all, are true believers.  They do want to continue neutering and absolve the 2ndA.
Unfortunately, the democratic voting gun owners want to stay ignorant of that and would rather trade their 2nd Ammendment rights for some hippy-dippy feel-good social garbage that is literally a waste of money.

I messaged everyone on the list and asked them to show that they truly believe in it by
1 Showing faith in the bill by removing any item this bill would ban from any security forces they use and
2 Putting requirements in that no such items can be used on american soil, police, security, and military included. If we the people cant have it on US Soil, neither should anyone else.

Then I asked what their jobs plan was for the thousands this bill would instantly put out of work should it pass. I finished it up with a link to a few places that had good deals on AR15's so that they could be sure to get a few and grandfather them in.

I would love to find some law that was solid enough that I could criminally charge them with attempting to deny my rights. Even if only to inconvenience them with the short ride in a police car to get everything sorted out.

Hopefully within the next few years article 5 will be invoked and the states will pass an amendment or two. I'd love one that states something to the extent that if an elected official violates their oath by introducing a law which subverts constitutional protections without going through proper channels, such as amending and ratifying they will be removed from office and criminally tried for corruption or even treason depending on the severity. I would also support an amendment that requires term limits for everyone in a seat of power beyond typical employees including supreme court justices.

I would suggest that an amendment be made that has the supreme court follow a plan that splits the US into districts perhaps the appeals districts which I think there are 13. One justice per district and that justice must be from somewhere in that district. If congress were as geographically limited as the supreme court, A majority portion of congress would all be from new york or new jersey. The west save for california is totally unrepresented in the supreme court. That said representation should not be an issue if the justices are unbiased and go solely by the actual laws. We all know they don't so we need equal representation. Selection of justices should be based on how unbiased they have been in their career as a judge not who the president thinks will side with him in any given dispute.
