If I were to get a 6 inch 10mm, what could I expect from this?

I love the CZ platform and it's inherent accuracy.  Could I expect the same from this Tanfo?
Anyone compare this to a comparable 1911 longslide?

My Witness Elite Match is laser beam accurate.  This is a significant step up the ladder from mine, so I would expect to be downright scared of how well it shoots.

Yes! They are a good choice and worthy choice for the price.  :D

How is the grip profile?  I'm concerned that the double stack mag my make it a little wide for my taste?
Now for reference, I do have a CZ 75 (with double stack grip) and it fits me perfectly. Would this Match Extreme be comparable?

Also just for clarification, the safety in the down position is "fire" right?  I can't seem to get used to the Beretta 92 config of the safety being off in the up position...

My Witness guns "feel" smaller to my hands than a 1911 with GI grips.

The Xtreme has the EG panels factory installed and they're the thinnest available. It will feel small in width.

You won't be disappointed. The recent offerings from Tanfoglio are superb!

Go for it!

Thanks for replies...
Can someone enlighten me about the safety?  Down position means "fire" right?

Reverendpdp

A few more questions  ;D.  I notice it comes with a few extra recoil springs.  Does this mean I will have to swap out springs depending on the loads I use?  Does it need to be "broken in" like some of the finer 1911's to function flawlessly?  Will it gobble up everything I throw at her, or will she be finicky about ammo?

The Xtreme is the top of the line and new to the market offering that has about every custom piece you can put on one... and through the custom shop. Do you need all of that? The Hunter is a bunch cheaper and can be modified to your liking.

Down and its ready to go bang.

I have a Limited Pro and I love the thing.  Its tight, accurate, and strong.  It handles loads that smile badly on the Glock with no hint of things being too hot.

Perhaps the sweetest thing is how great it feels in the hand.  It feels so good.  It doesn't feel like a double stack.  I have a 9mm CZ2075 and the CZ feels fatter in the grip to me.

I have yet to see anyone not love a full size Tanfoglio, except, perhaps, after they talked to customer service :(

In fairness to Tanfoglio, it is really EAA, the importer, that is the issue.  Reports from Europe are Tanfoglio is tops to deal with.  Comparable on that continent to Springfield here in the US.

That's interesting.  Please elaborate.  We talking 10mm Witness right?
Are there any other gun grips you can compare it to?  Beretta, Glock, CZ, Sig...?

Thanks Intercooler.  I'm taking your advice on the Hunter model.  It has many of the features I'm looking for and none of the things I don't really need right now.  It looks like it'll be a tact-driver which is my primary requirement.  So it has become a frontrunner in my research.  Now if I could only get and idea of that grip profile...

Reverendpdp:

You should be happy with the Witness Hunter. You'll have the power that the 6" barrel provides, the slightly "muzzle heavy" feel to bring the "business end" of the pistol back to the target. It is a practical approach to the 10mm Auto that you will swiftly come to appreciate.

All the best and Go with God
