I just wanted to go on the the record that I consider myself an Infidel and will be glad to discuss it with anyone next time I am at the range.

Just want all terrorists to know.

Terrorists are a non issue in the big scheme of things. You're thousands times more likely to die from bad food, cars, cancer,  a heart attack, falling down stairs, bee sting, self inflicted gun shot wound, death by asteroid/space debris, earthquake, tornado,

Dying from terrorist attack is somewhere around being mauled by a bear or death by scorpion sting, pretty much not gonna happen.  If  it did,  what are you going to do about someone planting a bomb at a large dam face or sports event or whatever other scheme the villains of the world are planning. They're not going to home invade you with nothing but an AK and a turban yelling "alalalalala."

Worse things to worry about -

1) the most effective course of antibiotics has just been resisted by some new strains of bacteria in China.. In the next decade or so,  we're likely to be returning to a pre antibiotic era. Dying from an infection from a hang nail, good times.

2) China vs Japan, or India vs Pakistan. Both of these conflicts have a moderate chance to open up into thermonuclear war. Guess whose gonna end up stepping in to try and make peacekeeper?

We could go on and on  instead of worrying about this nonsense in the back of your mind, focus on how to make your immediate world self sufficient. Grow food, learn first aid,  Eat right,  work out, love your family. Training in firearms is there too,  but it's a last resort option for so many situations.  Get good,  stay practiced,  but don't skimp on a lot of other potentially important stuff.

But yeah,  don't spend your time worrying about overhyped media nonsense.

Follow the data and know the source of the data.

I just automatically assume any report I hear is wrong.  I do this because I noticed a trend.  When the news reports on something I do know alot about, they were always wrong.  It finally dawned on me one day that if they were always wrong about things I did know better, they were probably wrong about everything else too.

So, I started actually finding valid data about a given news event, and performing my own analysis, with a willingness to accept whatever results that data indicated.

Learned I was usually wrong about any topic in which I didn't have a core competence.

I figured the same thing out a long time ago. I think I was around 17 years old. Back then everything I did, wore, or ate was bad - according to the media and government. Everything the news media did was perfect and wholesome.

Doubtful any Muzzy terrorists will come to my part of gun loving Mizzouri but I'm ready should that occur. I'll bet I have to shoot some meth head before I will a terrorist. Be vigilant and keep your eyes peeled you never know.

I am even MORE PROUD of being a conservative, basic American who is also a shameless Infidel.

Why?

This makes OBAMA cringe.

I understand the first half of your screen name. You must live in Wyoming. In Texas we have many who have been murdered by terrorists. Mexican Salvadorians Guatemalan types. Home invasions every day here middle class neighborhoods are often the target. Dream on Dizzy

Legal Dictionary meaning....

Infidel - One who does not believe in the existence of a God, who will reward or punish in this world or that which is to come.

I am NOT an infidel.  I am a God fearing man that believes the heretics (extremists) will be punished in the world to come.

Except, you don't believe in their god, any more than you believe in Odin, Zeus or Vishnu.

Absolutely true.  I believe in a living, loving, omnipotent God.
