Golden Sabers do really well and also in 10mm. I was hoping PBR was going to offer them to us.

The_Shadow

I have not seen the 10mm/40 cal Remington Golden Sabers sold as bulk bullets only in quite some time.

That's nothing more than a list of their advertisers, in order of how much they spend. They recommended Hydrashok. That's probably the least dependable "premium" bullets that is still on the market.

Oh poppycock!  Hydrashok, V-Crown the best???  Hydra 20+ year technology and as Raggedy pointed out very inconsistent.  V-Crown jhp out about a year (9mm) and none of gel tests easy to find on web were impressive; too little penetration or way too much.  Little surprised they didn't pick 9mm Winchester Silvertips.   Just as humorous, 180gr. sig elite best 357 mag handgun ammo??

Their choices beat out Gold Dots, HST, Ranger T, PDX1, DPX/XPD, Critical Duty, Golden Saber bonded or not?  Oh yea that's why 99.9% of police forces currently use one of these proven choices but are rushing to get back into Hydrashoks and V-Crowns....

Raggedyman

Exactly. This is why the gun rags have been irrelevant for quite a long time. They have zero credibility and less integrity. A person's life could depend on a good ammo choice and they are pimping whatever product earns the most ad revenue.

Geeman

For 9mm, placed third (tie) 135g Hornady Critical Defense.

Do they even make such a thing???

And once again, no 10mm tests!  :'(
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

The_Shadow

Gandog, I totally agree...Gun magazines at its best!  If it's not 1911 or 45ACP it doesn't get much attention!

Well, to be fair, they didn't really do anything testing of the other calibers.
