Every firearm manufacturer disclaim the same. No exceptions. The same also applies to every aftermarket barrel manufacturer. Most, including every common brand, do not discourage use of handloads, but state they will not warranty failures related to the use of handloads, due to conditions not in their control.

DOesn't matter. my regular 10mm load is a moly coated cast bullet, I wouldn't trust a Glock OEM barrel with it.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Doesn't matter. You don't like Glocks.

Glocks like moly-coated bullets just fine. I have at least 20K of them fired through the same OEM G22 barrel.

I don't like Glocks because they do not seem to make one single model that feels good in my small short fingered hand. The barrel issue is a side issue. If I liked Glock feel, I would get the third party barrel to shoot cast bullets.

I respect that. I have a XXL hand, so that's not a factor for me. If any of them were perfect for everyone, we wouldn't need (or want) variety.

If I had an XXL hand, I would own an LAR Grizzly in .45 mag, and Desert Eagles in .357 Mag, .44 mag, and .50AE! Maybe a Coonan .357. Got to go with what I can grip though.

A friend (LGS owner) has a LAR Grizzly in .45WM with a 10mm conversion. Yeah, it fits nice. No, it's not for sale (I tried).

Brian, first question I ever ask of new or prospective Glock owners is do you want to reload for them? They will void the warranty if the gun goes south shooting reloaded ammo. Also supposedly their polygonal rifling is not conducive to shooting cast bullets. A lot of Glock owners buy Lone Wolf or KKM barrels to shoot cast bullets.

I bought the Glock for the same reason i buy Toyota and Nissan~ because i dont want to worry about ever using the warranty. Hardcast bullets i dont see a need for~ for my needs anyway,..

I want the 6" LW barrel soon for the added velocity,.. And they look oh so nice protruding from an already drop dead GORGEOUS pistola'

I do want to reload, factory ammo seems very limited.

:)

From what i have seen on you tube the G20 stock barrel cant stabilize hardcast bullets anyway.. Im just shooting jacketed bullets in any scenario excluding Liberty Halo etc/ monolithic,.. But no hardcast for me.

Ah ha!! See!! YOU DONT LIKE GLOCKS!
(Kidding..)

I don't, but not for the usual reason of disdain of "plastic" guns, or striker fire. It's all fit and form to me.

Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. I purchased my first 10mm (G20) a little over a year ago and got hooked.  I then caught a great deal on an RIA 1911 a few months ago. The jury is still out on the RIA but I think I have it broken in and kinks worked out. My reloading bench will be ready soon so if anyone has some good medium game hunting load data- for G20 with 6" LW barrel- I would appreciate it. I'm leaning towards starting with the 200gr XTP with 800-X.  I look forward to discussions with all of you.

Banker1, welcome to the forum and congrats with your addiction as nobody can have just one 10mm!   ;D

In my opinion, LongShot would be a good choice with the 200Gr XTPs based on my experiences, 800X also works and better for the shorter barrels.  Be sure to study the Commercial pull-downs for suggestions of what is being sold.

Best regards, :D

Welcome! (Just think for the price of the RIA you could have had ANOTHER GLOCK (G29), AND NO KINKS,.. LOL..)

Hi, my name is Dave and I'm new to the forum. I own 3 different 10mm pistols. I'm a Glock armorer, I know lots of you are as well. Just wanted to say hello. I'm very interested in ammunition specs and ballistics, and I'm interested in learning about ammunition real world performance. Still looking for a couple of good carry/SD rounds, as well as a sledge hammer hunting round. Looking forward to some interesting reading, discussions and new information.
