I was going to pick up another 10 mm either a RIA or Witness then started thinking that I have always wanted a nice revolver, so here it is

I have a Redhawk and that Super is a tank! Scope?

I was thinking that could be a good gift idea for my birthday later this year.  Yes it is a tank! Weighs just over 3 1/2 pounds!  Shot some Underwood through it last night.  Considering 1144 ft/lbs muzzle energy felt like a push and was not brutal.

Ah yes, the Ruger Super Redhawk, Congrats!  8)...very strong and viable weapon!  I think IC has one of the Redhawks, not sure if his is the Super version.  He has tested those bad to the bone heavy weight Buffalo Bore and Underwood offerings which are shown in the pull-down section.

My very first handgun was the S&W Mod 29 and it remains one of my favorite revolvers.   The trigger is silky smooth and it makes for some very accurate shooting at long distances.  With the target trigger and iron target sights, in addition to the 8 3/8" barrel also helps put rounds precisely on target.  I actually took a nice deer at 180 yards, through heart and lungs, bullet passed through and not recovered.

I really like the model 29's.  I ad shot the super RedHawk in 454 casull and liked how they felt.  Maybe a 29 is in the future?? Lol

I really like these big Rugers. I have shot them a few times but only owned a 41 & 43mag Redhawk.

Yesterday I had a Alaskan in my hand again... 454. ;) IF I had a need, it would be in my safe... I really like its lines and feel. I have a Cassull 7.5" and a re-chambered H&R single shot both in  454 already. Its a powerhouse!

My 43 Redhawk was one of two of the most accurate revolvers I ever shot!

Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Yeah...I would rate .4X revolvers 45 colt, then 41 magnum (true .410") then 44 magnum (.429").

The 41 magnum is great because it is barely smaller than the 44 magnum (.019") and any gun that is available in 44 mag and 41 mag can be pushed just as hard to a bit harder in 41 magnum.  Plus, higher sectional density.

Aww, I shoot .45 Colt out of my .454 Casull as cheaper practice ammo.

I still remember the trepidation the first time I pulled the trigger on the Casull, thinking I bet this thing is gonna KICK! :'(

Sort of defines the term "hand cannon" in modern terms.  O.K. maybe single shot hand guns do, but they don'e revolve.
