I have three for my G20...

Thinking I could use one in my G29 I installed it...

Almost jammed the works up!!  WELL< Actually I did for about 20 minutes while I figured out how to get it apart...  My G29 is a SF and G20 barrels DO NOT FIT!  I also noticed that the slide appears to be slightly out of battery even tho it is not. It "hangs" off the back of the frame 1/16" and the coil spring extends out the front enough to get your finger nail under it. "LOOKS" wrong. But shoots and functions flawlessly. Initially I thought I had done this somehow tiring to install the G20 barrel. But pics I took on the truck seat show it was like that out of the box.

My question is can a G20 barrel be "fit" to a G29SF? Of is it simply cost preventative as a proper G29 SF barrel is 130$?

CW, the locking lugs are different for the G20 barrel vs. the G-29 barrel.  Lay them side by side and you will see the differences are evident.
The angles are different and the way the are held into battery, so it can affect the actual lockup timing...

I know there was a guy that did fit a G-20 Slide and barrel on his G-29, but I'm not sure just how safe it is due to the barrel lugs being so different.  Good luck!

I went with 3 different 1911's instead, none of them NEEDED a 3rd party barrel.  :P
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

On the other hand I had a Springfield Armory .45 1911. My group sizes about halved when I dropped a Wilson Combat barrel in it.

But don't ask me why I had to drop a new barrel in it!
