Loaded a new load for my Delta Elite

I tried my 200 grain powder coated cast bullet loaded with 6.8 grains of Power Pistol at 1.248 oal.  I measured it over a chronograph and got average velocity of 1100 fps.  The extreme spread was 21 and the standard deviation was 6.  It made a fairly nice load and I was really pleased with how consistent it was.  I had previously tried 7.3 grains and it averaged about 1150.  Not a lot of difference but felt recoil seemed much lighter on the new load.  Power factor averaged 214, still pretty stout power factor.

Looks like a winner of a load.  Makes me wonder why Alliant dropped Power Pistol data for heavier bullets.

Agreed. I can understand dropping 200 grain bullet data since Speer doesn't catalogue a 200 gr bullet any longer. Speer #14 and Alliant data are equivalent. But not having 180 gr data for PP is a mystery.

Yea I am disappointed in the Alliant Powder newer data, they are very limited in their data and the pressure values are gone!
It is also why I have been re-posting the older data which did show the pressure values...

bigarm, Glad for you, and your achieved numbers may prove to be a very controllable and very accurate.
