I am new to the 10mm scene. I have a springfield omega 6"slide and I had a case blow out. It seems that the case is not supported very well at 6 o'clock on the barrel. Is this just my gun, or is this all Omegas?

I shot new Remington UMC 180 gr and PMC 170 gr through it. I also shot some PPU, it felt like weak 40 S&W rounds. I shot 9.0 grains of longshot on 180gr XTP and it was fine, I saw pressure signs at 9.2 (smile) and the 3rd shot at 9.2 it blew out the bottom of the case. It did not feel good in the hand.

Wish I could help you, but I am not familiar with the Omega aside from it being a linkless design.

Could you post pics of the feed ramp / chamber area?

What kind of brass measurements do you get?

Julian537, being a 1911 variant The Omega was linkless design and even though it had a ramped barrel still lacked some case support at the feed ramp.  Also some had issues broken recoil rods. (help a fellow to locate parts but they came from overseas)
There was some interesting reading about them on a few sites, but this has discussions abot the brass hitting the shooter in the forehead;

When I first started my 10mm quest the Springfield Omega almost topped my list before getting the S&W1006...I have never been sorry about that purchase!
