We had a Glock owner that had a Kaboom with new LAX. I grabbed some to see how it looks. It's all new Starline brass and all of mine weighed 263-267gr's. The case is a nice added bonus:

10mm LAX (New) 180gr FMJ
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1123, 1106, 1101, 1108, 1089. Average = 1105.4 FPS/ 488 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1170, 1150, 1126, 1166, 1146. Average = 1151.6 FPS/ 530 LBS

This was a retest to see where they were these days (powder shortage/new powders).

10mm Underwood 135gr Nosler
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1503, 1518. Average = 1513 FPS/ 686 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1595, 1612. Average = 1603.5 FPS/771 LBS

About 100 FPS off the flap rating. I think I might need to relay the information.

10mm Underwood 200gr Nosler
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1244, 1245. Average = 1244.5 FPS/ 688 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1307, 1285. Average = 1296 FPS/ 746 LBS

Doubletap is meeting or exceeding and Underwood isn't? Something is wrong!

Could be that the powder change and or charge weights due to variability of supplies...is he stretching what he has, given the current lack of availability? ???  Both? ???

When did doubletap ever meet or exceed intercooler??

Intercooler

The last batch I tested. Their 135 was about 1700 FPS.

Word has it the Mike McNett saw the competition from the other ammo companies and stepped his loads up.

It's in here:

http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10mm-ammo/wrapping-up-the-doubletap-10's/

I had mixed results with some of the rounds before. It still hasn't been bad for me versus David's stock Glock results.

Doubletap currently...

#2 125 Barnes velocity
#1 135 Nosler velocity
#2 155 Gold Dot velocity
#1 155 Barnes velocity

I doubt the 200 and 230 Hardcast have changed and they hit the box rating. I still need to do the 180's and 200's again from them.

If i just carried those doubletap 200gr hard casts everywhere  do you think id be giving up any stopping power against a 2 legged predator vs say a 180gr or 200gr xtp factory load?

Intercooler

Shoot whatever works in your pistol and you are good with.

In 10mm I have always liked what I saw in the Underwood 155 Gold Dot or a good 155 all copper.

I can shoot a lot of stuff good and my glock eats everything it seems.  Just wondering if Im giving up anything by carrying those 200gr hard casts vs the JHP.

Mag360, for self defense you would be better off with an expanding round, to help prevent the pass through that could injure an innocent bystander. :(  Hunting where you are out in the open or wooded areas that's usually not a problem.
