It'll be a 10mm soon, but in the meantime, I decided to work on the CS40 trigger. I performed the normal 'polish anything that touches', and it feels great. The double action is very smooth, and the single action break is awesome. Next, a little more severe work to reduce to the single action take-up. I believe I eliminated about 85% of the take up, but ran into a snag, in that the decocker need to have some transfer bar slack in order to rotate into position. And, of course, what I was doing was getting rid of that 'extra' motion. So, it's just a matter of a little tweaking to get it to function properly and hopefully doesn't require too much extra play.

Here are some pics. This is using bronze rod, which is pretty strong, but for a more permanent mod, I'd want to tig some steel in that area. There's not much force applied to that area, so may just wait and see how bronze holds up. I'm also working on a video and will link it when it's done.

Blob on some bronze. That white paste is "Hot Damn" heat putty to keep it the heat contained to one area. Amazing stuff.

Shaped to size. The overall height needs to come down just a hair for the decocker to function.

This shows the hammer catch resting in place, thus keeping the transfer bar more forward, thus less trigger take-up.

Another angle. This is during a double action pull, which doesn't pull on the back of the bar.

That is going to be one MEAN EDC in 10mm when you are done. VERY nice work and thanks for showing what you did.

I missed one of these by a few minutes at last gun show. He has one of the larger aluminum framed 40s but i bet that would hurt reamed to 10mm.

I'm looking forward to this. The barrel is in Sandusky, Ohio, getting reamed and headspaced for 10mm. Mags are converted and ready to go. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to re-mark the barrel to say "10 MM" instead of "40 S&W." Any suggestions? I think it will be very carryable and provide 8 rounds of 10mm. I'll probably carry the 135 Gr Underwood stuff. My first shots will be with some Armscor 180gr girly loads and work my way up.  ;D

Looking good StockIIBoss, I Mr Van does some of his best magic for the chamber for you!
BadManOne had done a few modes with the Chief and the 4014's.  However parts are now easy to come by for these conversions these days.  I am still holding on to hope for him to finish my barrels some day.
The "10mm" I'm Packin', Has The Bullets Wackin', Smakin' & The Slide is Rackin' & Jackin'!
