Hey all,

I'm looking for someone to ream and headspace my CS40 barrel for a 10mm conversion. I've sent out 3 email inquiries so far to various gunsmiths and not getting any takers. Anybody know of someone I can contact that will do this? Tnx!

what is the going rate for the job?

Well I can provide you the guy who did my 9x25 chamber reaming for me on my Bar-Sto barrel.  Last I heard it was $65.
Call Mr. Van and see if he can help you out.

I contacted Van @ The Gunworks. I believe he's one of the ones that doesn't offer the service for 10mm. Bummer.

Tnx. I just sent out an inquiry to them, and also to Lone Wolf.

Let me see what i can get a reamer for and the headspace gauges. I may just buy them and offer to do some barrels here. That would get me further down the road to a handi rifle ive been wanting to do if i had them.

How about J&L Gunsmithing?

$150. Wow. I could buy my own reamer for that. C'mon RW, get on it...

Just happened to remember a gunsmith in Va who converts ruger .357  into 10 mm and rebores the cylinder and barrel to .40 . Am thinking that he would be able to do it if you could get him to do it. -clementscustomguns.com

I guess I got confused with someone else I contacted, but just heard from Van. He's doing the job for $65. Sweet!

You may be able to have your 40 Barrel reamed to 10mm, but can the Frame / Mag Well of the CS40 accept the 10mm Round ?
In most cases, a 40 Cal Frame / Mag Well will not accept the added length of the 10mm
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

Yes. In the case of the CS40, there's a spacer sleeve inserted into the magazine. Simply (well, not so simply) remove the sleeve, replace the follower with a 10mm follower and you've got yourself a 10mm magazine. That's what makes the CS40 a great conversion candidate.

Cool deal
Not familiar with the CS40
It's usually not the case with a dedicated 40 cal
The Mag Well and Receiver (front to back) doesn't allow for the length of the 10
Glad to hear you're getting this put together
Can't wait for pics and a report   8)
