I'm selling my G3 Glock 20SF and my Glock 30SF to fund a 1911 in 10mm.  I want to carry the biggest caliber reasonable for EDC and When I'm out at my Ranch.  I just can't for the LIFE of me carry a thicker GLOCK either OWB or IWB.  It just prints too badly no matter what I wear and the pain on my hips using IWB is too much for me.  You guys think I'm making a good choice lol?  I pulled the trigger on a Kimber Custom II TLE/RL.   I've had full size 1911's before and their single stack design allows me to carry them OWB pretty easily compared to thick G30-20's

Sounds like you answered your own question and it worked. Can always get Glocks. You have to carry it and only you know whats right on you. Enjoy Kimber.

My edc is a 1911 in a IWB holster.  It gives me the most punch in the most comfortable to carry package.  I see no objection.

Ya if anything I'm even thinking of getting the .40S&W barrel and Spring to shoot slightly cheaper .40 for fun

RubenZ, welcome to the forum!  Yes if you are more comfortable with the 1911 then it seems like you will be better suited.
However there are many holster options than can make carrying better or worse.  Good luck with your decision!  ;)

STUPID QUESTION! Just kidding, great question! :D  I personally like 1911's and love the 45acp as well as ten.  A 1911 in 10mm is almost perfect.  I have two Glocks (after I said I would NEVER own even one  ::) - both 10mm.  They are big, bulky and klunky but that is how I personally like my guns, especially the grips.

I think it boils down to how much and often you plan on carrying.  From your description it sounds like perhaps a lot so it makes sense to me.

Well you asked so.... never mind, it will turn into a debate on one vs. the other.  If you are satisfied that is all that matters.
