Just saw on Fox news, Hunter Biden was discharged with an Admin Separation for failing a drug test. He tested positive for cocaine. This happened last February shortly after he joined. It was kept quiet until the Wall Street Journal and a few other conservative news organizations got a hold of the info.

But what does this have to do with guns?

I have to wonder why Joe named his son "Hunter"?   Most everyone I know named Hunter came from a family with a background and heritage of hunting and firearms!  Why he got into drugs that a story in and of itself I suppose!

I live in NYS where the GOP run state senate conspired to give us the toughest gun laws in the nation.

Not so much as political, as it is news that the " Almighty Gun Grabbers" and their families which are so "Politically Correct", are in fact doing illegal acts... 

The kid is old enough to decide what he wants to put into his body, and dad has no control over that.  Still, the kid has to be smart enough to know he isn't your every day Joe cause of who his father is.  I wonder if he likes shotguns?

This whole issue HURTS law abiding gun owners.

We have no one representing us, liberals want more control while Republicans want a Wedge Issue.

There is no  negotiating at all.

We should have licensing and in return we should have national reciprocity.

Sorry wolfie I can't agree with that one the whole incorporation doctrine is a farce, the bill of rights was to limit the general government not the States. Plus why on earth should people in Cali be involved in any way with whether or not I have or carry a gun in Virginia.

First, those that are against licensing are kidding themselves.

The government already knows who owns what.

Everytime you buy a gun, you fill out a federal form.

Second, you would be able to carry your gun in CA or NY. (Pretty Good trade off)

Third, States Rights? You jest, thats the Republican Party mantra. In Texas, Governor Perry gets locked up by a GOP Judge and Prosecutor and claims the law is BS. Yes a State of Texas law is BS.

States Rights would be nice, but those that promote it are the same ones that dismiss it when its not in their favor.

The government doesn't know the owner of every gun . In Louisiana we can conduct a private gun transaction and a bill of sale isn't required.  (thread hijacked)

Back on topic. Yes Biden son is a coke head, but you can't hold joe accountable for his actions, nor should it affect Joe's  political career. 

I am not a party loyalist (both are wrong) and if a politician violates the law he or she should be arrested and be made example of.

Every gun purchase in every state requires ATF form 4473 to be completed.

The only way around this is gun shows and a private sale person to person in states that do not require it.

What that means is every gun can be tracked to the seller and original owner via serial number.

So selling a gun to someone you don't know and he uses it in a crime and the gun is recovered, the police will use the serial number to knock down your door and grab you as you were the last owner.

Thats enough probable cause to look into you.

Back to original thread....  Biden's kid apparently has a drug problem and it appears to have taken 10 months for the story to come out or the MSM to pick it up.  Sure, no doubt the same would be true for any prominent conservative's kid in the same situation 

Hunter was the maiden name of Biden's first wife who died in a car accident. Another son served in the Army and served in Iraq as a JAG officer. This one was forty years old at the time of his enlistment in the Navy, or so I've read. It's only newsworthy due to the dual standards of our mainstream news organizations. I have no great love for either of our political parties but what's good for one is good for another as to reporting. That is the job of the press. Equal standards and all that.....
