I've decided to give my Gen 2 Glock 20 another shot.  I spoke in detail about the pain problem with my original Hand Surgeon & also with my Primary Care Doc.   At the suggestion of both, I am going to try a different grip shape and texturing to try and alleviate the pain in my palm and also concentrate on less than Nuclear Loads for a while ......  ;D

I really hated the idea of moving away from the 10mm because the Gen 2 shoots so well for me, but was quite painful to both my palm and wrist after 3 or 4 magazines.  I've had 3 surgeries to my right wrist and palm ( between May 1999 & June 2000 ) as a result of an On-Duty injury .....  :-[   Also, since I've shot all the Underwood 180 Grain TMJ that was giving me FTF problems  the Glock has ran flawlessly.

I'll keep in touch as the test goes forward.

Shadow,

I haven't thought about a brace, I have a lot of scare tissue in my palm.  After a mag or 3 it gets pounded pretty severely and remains sore for several days.  I bought a Hogue Slip on for Large Pistols and will try that before I start reshaping and stippling.  I'm away from the cabin doing Grandpa things until Tuesday night, so I will try the Hogue on Wednesday.  Thanks for the suggestion on a brace, I will look into that.

There was a video the other day on Facebook of a guy shooting and loading with his feet!  My own aches and pains don't seem so bad after watching and appreciating what he is doing!  One thing is for sure, shooters want to shoot!  8)
