Welcome to the forum!  Well there have been some that have experienced some issues, FTF, and slide locking back with a round in the magazine.  Others had no troubles, so it seems hit and miss. 

I have one, but I'd recommend a Gen3 SF instead. 

The Gen 4 just seems to be a bit more hit/miss as far as function with hotter loadings.  Mine runs fine with all stock parts, but gets unreliable with some aftermarket parts.  Stock barrel allows a lot of case expansion and is hard on brass for reloading.  I bought a LoneWolf barrel and that messed up feeding in a big way.

I would get the 20 SF if you can.

I've only HELD a Gen4 and while I think the grip is quite a bit "grippier" than on the SF's, the bigger mag release is nice, I'd NEVER EVER sell my SF for the Gen4. Ever.

I'd say that the Gen3 is a safer bet and probably less expensive, too.

Given the amount of problems the gen 4 ones appear to have, here and on other forums I'd have to say get a gen 3 if at all possible. My gen 3 has never given me problems (except sloppy factory chamber, replaced w/ Storm Lake barrel) in the last 3 years.

My G4 G20 is working fine...plunker loads and hot loads.

I own a Gen4 G20 and would not get a Gen4 for two reasons:

1.) Definitely seems like more issues with Gen4 compared to Gen3SF.

2.) In trading e-mails with Glock, they have pretty much demonstrated a total unwillingness to look into the issue.  After pulling teeth with a Glock support person to even find out what they use to test (and that's still not confirmed, only that it's CCI and 'meets spec'), and then calling Glock US Corp., getting an e-mail address of someone to try, forwarding them my e-mail strings and concerns, he sent it onward at Glock internally on 4/24.  Since then have heard 'no response from them yet' when I asked a month or two ago, and recently, don't even get a response when asking about it.

With that kind of customer support, a lightly used Gen3SF would seem to be a better way to go to me all around...

Mine has been flawless from wimpy PPU loads to the mighty Underwood nuclear rds, It's a Glock and still feels like a 2x4 in my hands...... but it's getting a little better.

I've had no problems with mine to date.

I have one and upgraded the trigger (feels staple gun like).

If you can buy a Gen 3, I would go with that since they are proven and because the trigger is better.

However, If I had to do it again (didn't find any Gen 3 locally), I would buy another and upgrade the trigger again.

Still on the fence with mine. Check back with me in a month and I will know which way I go (keep it or sell it) 

I am Seriously considering a Witness or RIA 1911 if I can't get my issues with my Gen 4 resolved.

I have a Gen.4 G20 as well, with a KKM 6" barrel. To date no issues, firing both Georgia Arms 180gr. FMJ and various Underwood offerings. I only have approx. 250-rounds through it to date though... The KKM barrel is the only "upgrade" to the firearm, and has been installed since just prior to the 1st. round fired.

I have the first G20, bought right after produced. Solid pistol! But I much prefer a 1911 frame pistol chambered for the powerful 10MM. SO, not to change this thread, but I would recommend the Kimber Ultra and ask if any others find it to be superior..?

From what I have heard and seen the Kimber has a good chamber and I think feed ramp, making for a better platform than the Delta Elite
