Have always used snaps for past Smith revolvers, but reading the Ruger shooting board's, ( mixed bag responses )
ended up buying them for the Blackhawk just to be safe.

So, the survey is... do you use snap caps with your Ruger revolvers or not? ..Thx in advance. .SS59

I make up "DUMMY" rounds to perform various task, like  miss fire tap/rack drill, magazine change out drills and some others.
I usually take the CCI aluminum cases and drill out the spent berdan primer, glue a mechanical pencil eraser in the pocket, or sometimes just leave the spent primer and seat a cast bullet to proper depth, use a sharpie permanent marker to color them.

However, most of my guns can be dry fired without issues. 8)
