My next 10mm will be....A ruger blackhawk 38-40/10mm.....just picked up the purchase permit...next week
The revolver.

Just bought the EAA Witness Match. I wanted some money for enhancements and other gun expenses. $1,100 was to much of a stretch.
I guess I'll have to sell my M&P 9mm & .40 and/or the .45

I'd LOVE a 10mm Ruger....BUT
I do not like the New Model Blackhawks
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

Glock 20sf or fusion longslide for me

I have expensive Dan Wesson Razorback and Fusion Firearms 10mm's for serious shooting. I'm trying to find a much less expensive RIA Tac II 10mm for pure plinking fun. I do like 1911 platfirms over Glocks or EAA's.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Had a 1911 Dan Wesson and never again. Pretty, accurate... limited on capacity and just not enough heft plus I never cared for the hand feel. When you shoot the Magnum level stuff I feel you need some weight and I don't think they will pop off the 220/230gr Hardcasts without some issues here and there. It's the same principal as to why the light Magnum wheel guns aren't real fun. Have you shot the EAA platform Gangdog? It's hard to make statements one versus the others without shooting them all.

Well I only have the RIA 10mm. I really like it & the feel of 1911s. So far I trust my M&P 45 (bedside) or Shield 40 (carry). I started with M&P. but I shoot my 2 1911s the best.

I have EAA Winess match to pick up next Thursday. We will see. That's part of the fun of shooting is trying new things

The rock is basically a $1200 1911 for $600. The 10 mm model has been a little more of RIA figuring it out than the 45 model. (They have built 45s for a long time)

My newer one has worked pretty much right out-of-the-box. I did send it back in because I bent the ejector so the jury still out on shooting Magnum loads with that particular pistol. 6gr. Titegroup on 180 bullet. Plus UW 180s
Barrel support & general construction on the Rock can handle bigger loads.

Another nice 1911 is the Ruger SR1911
You get a lot of Pistol for the money
Costs about $650-700.00
I just wish they'd offer it in 10mm

I had a ruger 1911, I never liked it I sold it to help pay for the kimber. Nothing wrong with it I just had no attachment.

If you need more than eight shots, you should be running not shooting.

My hand is pretty small with short fingers. I can't hardly hold any double stack larger than a 9mm.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Said the guy with 4-5 attackers  ;D

I will take as many as one will hold. That is 2 or 4 leg coming at me  ;D

I'm going on the hunch you haven't shot a Witness? If you were close I would let you try mine and you might just think the double-stack isn't big. I don't have large hands either (fat maybe) and they work well for me. More comfy than just about anything else I have tried.

gandog56

Oh I don't know. If me and my 10 can shoot like this, bring on 7-8.

Off hand or on a rest? Rested or secured doesn't count  ;D

I have a 1911 and like it so I'm don't think I'm biased.
Just bought I the tanfogilo because I thought the feel of the gun was good.
I haven't liked the doublestack 1911 or the Glock.
The witness match seemed more like my Smith M&Ps to me, comfortable.

Do you have it yet? Let us know what you think of the fit and feel, then maybe a range review. I'm still torn on buying one of these too.
