Anyone have any experience with this stuff

"This is the deepest penetrating load ever offered in 9mm! This is THE load for the woods in 9mm. The flat point helps to cut rather than move around hard objects such as bone. The tough brass jacket on the bullet helps it to keep its shape. A great backup for hunting, camping, and hiking!

Now available!

Ballistics : 147gr @ 1135fps / 421ft. lbs. from a G17.

Who makes it? Any pictures?

I think there are some Hardcast 9mm bullets like that. The PPU 158gr FMJ is the heaviest 9mm I have personally shot.

I just read what it has to say about it. -100 FPS off the claims to start off with  ;)

I wish Kevin would load something like this

Intercooler

He probably would if someone asked and the market was there. The problem is getting a large Meplat bullet in 9mm.

You would probably have to use something like this 160gr .357 Magnum bullet and have them size it down for 9mm.

That sounds great, not sure on the demand of it though. I think that would a good great woods load for the 9mm

I bet it would do real good on all but bears

Intercooler

That's where the 10mm would be a better option.

I am trying to find a nice semi-auto caliber for the wife. My 10mm and my 40smith are to much for her. I was thinking hard cast 9mm from my ruger p89

Intercooler

I wrote Beartooth about making the 160gr in .356" sizing and will run it by Kevin that I would be the Guinea Pig if he will assemble it. It would be about a 158gr 9mm with a .280" Meplat and I bet Kevin could get it moving 1100 FPS/ 400 LBS.

As a comparison to the 10mm 220gr Hardcasts offered by Buffalo Bore and Underwood currently.

10mm 220gr/1175 FPS: .280" Meplat, .192 sectional density, 39.36" relative penetration, .805" permanent wound channel, 64 relative stopping power and TKO of 15.

9mm 158gr/1100 FPS: .280" Meplat, .178 sectional density, 28.79" relative penetration, ..753" permanent wound channel, 41 relative stopping power and TKO of 9.

As would I, that would be a great load to have for the 9mm

Kevin said as a trial, he would load them up for me. That's  if I can get the bullets sized by Beartooth which hasn't gotten back to me yet. He was scared they wouldn't feed in a 9mm pistol, but I have already run 158's through both of mine.

If they work out well with good performance and Kevin decides to offer them, you should ask him to call them the "Intercoolers".  ;D
