I have a 40 cal Springfield 1911 I want to have a buddy/gunsmith fit a 10mm Kart barrel into.  He will get the barrel and install for around 200 bucks.  What does every one think of this Idea?  Has any one had personal experience with this?

No experience with that but it sounds like a pretty reasonable price, $200 for the barrel and the fitting.

Yeah it might have something to do with the fact that I have a 100 yard range in my back yard and he only lives/works about a block away and doesn't have a range.....
