I'm 41 and have been in LE for 16 years.

I have a 610 4", a Glock 20SF and a 1006. I've been a fan of the 10mm since Miami Vice, of course.    ;)

James from Los Angeles area here. Just saw thus forum posted on Calguns and thought "Hey. I love my 10mm and love talking about, buying, collecting, building, everything about firearms, so why not check it out."
I am 42. Married, kids. I am a Paramedic and work a ton as to afford this "very expensive" hobby. I am very big into 2A civil rights and being here in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia its always an up hill fight.
Haven't fully checked out the site yet. Wanted to formaly stop in and say hi. Hope to get to know you all real soon.

Welcome to the site brother

Greetings fellow 10mm Auto enthusiasts. I credit the Shadow for the referral from the 10mm pages over at Glock Talk.

A bit about me. I am a CPA and have been doing accounting work to close to 20 years. I work in the finance organization for a very large business. I have degrees from the east and west coasts, but the most valuable things I have learned have been outside the I university. I moved to the great state of Idaho about 7 years ago, and absolutely love it here.

I have one very well used 10mm. A Gen 3 Glock 20.  I handload for it and otherr cartridges. I have accumulated a ton of chrony data from my 10mm loads. Powders include A9, A7, A5, Blue Dot, 800-X, and Longshot. Lots of different bullets too. If you are curious about chrony results,  I just might have some data that you are looking for.  I really like A9 powder.

Some of you I have met before in other forums. I look forward to ongoing discussion, good ol' BSing, and getting to interact with some new folks.

Welcome Taterhead.

If you ever make it down to the Salt Lake Area, shoot me a PM.  Maybe we can squeeze in a range trip.

Also, not sure if you like vintage military rifles, but there are VIMBAR/VIMSAR matches each spring/fall at the Golden Spike range near Brigham City Utah.

Hello everyone. I am Gerry from Miami (as you can see from my board name). I am a Materials Science Engineer but have been working as a Network Design Engineer for a big Telecom company for the past 7 years. Ordered my first G29SF from Buds this past Saturday and I should have it by this coming Thursday. Also ordered a box of each:

1) 10mm Auto 165 Grain Gold Dot Jacketed Hollow Point
2) 10mm Auto 180 Grain Gold Dot Jacketed Hollow Point
3) 10mm Auto 200 Grain XTP Jacketed Hollow Point

The idea is to test these loads to see which gives me the best result. Can wait to get my hands on my new 29SF and ammo. I have been reading the The 10 Ring for a while by the way. I registered there but never got the e-mail to activate my account  :-[. Since I see a lot of the guys from that forum here, I am really glad to part of this community and look forward to learning from all of you guys!!!!!
Best regards,

Congratulations on the new pistol Gerry! You will love the 10mm. The 10 Ring is a great forum. I have been enjoying the conversations there for a few years.

Might I suggest a 4th item on the shopping list:

4) Reloading setup.

Reloading and the 10mm auto go together like beer and burgers.  :P

The break-even on do-it-yourself ammo is quick for 10mm.
