  I bought this snow blower about 4-5 years ago when Home Depot started unloading them. We didn't get any snow that year and they went from 10%, 20%, 25%, 33% (almost bit here, but waited) finally they advertised 50% of which made them my first stop after work. When I got there they were sold out and a check of Delaware stores said they all were. They checked Maryland and one store had a big one. I didn't want a small one on this deal and got everything but heated grips including electric start. I had to pay over the phone by credit card and drive 50 miles to get it.



Over the last couple of years I have debated selling it since we haven't been hit with enough snow to break it out. Not today! 

That amount of stuff makes it tough to find your brass!  Maybe the mail man will bring you a present today!

  She was in the Jeep but drove right by. I may have to do 9mm rounds or the Mosin this weekend. I hate losing 10mm brass!

That is a kick ass snowblower. I should have gotten that size back when I purchased my 22 inch Snapper in 1996. It still runs though, so I hate to get rid of it.

   It's a Bear that first start without using the electric. After the first time,  I can stop it and get it going with a pull of the cord. It has a 9.5 HP motor and is a dual stage 26.5". I did have a problem with the chute movement gear going out which must be problematic. When I went to replace it Ariens had a $25.00 upgrade for it which has worked well since then. Not a bad deal getting a $950 machine for $475 
    Back then I still hadn't found your money tree   

When you both get to harvest the Money Tree you might get one of these...

This old John Deere was made in the late 1970 or early 1980's.  It has moved alot of snow over the years.  It still starts on the first pull most of the time.  Engine seems fine, but the rest of the machine needs bushings, traction disk, belts, scraper blade, and shoes.  I keep putting it off till the off season, and then it gets forgotten till I need it again.

I don't know if that was for me of the hemi.

The only cable on the Deere moves the throttle. 

This old thing grounds out the magneto if you let go of both handles.  A little crude.  The thing really doesn't shear pins.  If you run something like a 2x4 into it, it either chucks it or it snubs the 8hp engine.  The cast iron gear case won't be hurt.  With only snow, it just grunts and throws it.  I've never had snow kill it.  It will twist and pile it up in front if the blower cannot feed it all in.

 Concerning the Deere. I like the models with no cables.

When I lived up in the frozen North (NY South of Buffalo) I had a 13 HP, 33" cut blower it made short work of clearing the driveway. But I'm glad I don't have to deal with that activity any more. 

I have six snow removal machines at my house.  The newer ones aren't as effective as the older ones.

Only problem with any of them is I have to feed them three times a day year round
