One thing that I notice the STI animation has the bullet exiting the barrel before ejection starts...with the 1911 the ejection starts before the bullet fully exits the barrel.

here is a slow mo that shows this clearly...you can see the slide moving rearward before the bullet exits the barrel.

In the video, the barrel and the slide are still together as a unit.  In the first animation, the bullet is still in the barrel as the empty is clearing the chamber.  That wouldn't be good.  In the STI animation, the bullet clears before the slide moves.  That wouldn't allow the action to function.  The bullet should clear the barrel with the slide/barrel move together as a unit, or at least as they just seperate.  Am I not correct in my assessment?

The Bullet clears the Barrel, and the Pressure drops long before the Slide moves
If this doesn't happen, you'd have a handful of trouble
