trying to decide on another pistol.  i was thinking 45 but just dont know. i had the g30 but sold it when i was wanting a 1911 but instead bought my 10.  i have a g27 now so i was looking for something other than the 10 and 40.  also thinking of 357 sig but just dont know.

when i had my g30 i kept pulling to the left and after careful squeezing i noticed that the gun was a little fat for me and didnt get a solid finger on the trigger causing the tip to pull as i squeezed the trigger.  my g20 is a second generation and is a little less fat for me.  my brothers 45 1911 colt was sweet. thats why i sold the g30 to get one of those but could not pass up the 10 price wise and the fact i always wanted one.

my first gun was a S&w40ve (?).  didnt like the trigger so i sold that one.  not wanting a 9 right now.  my next dream gun is a 454 raging bull.  so many decisions to make so little money.  here in a few weeks i plan on getting about 750 rounds for my 10.  got to stock up again as i had a bunch of range time this year. if you have not done it try shooting 500 rounds of full power 10 in a day.  my hand was sore for days after.

so i am leaning towards 45 and 357sig.  what yall think?  im a glock fan so if 357sig it will be glock.  the 45 not sure if glock or 1911 style. not a fan of all those safeties.  so the g36, g30s, or the new g41(?). in the 1911 i was thinking springfield, rock island, para, or colt.  they would be the gi type models as i dont care about bells and whistles. besides part of the fun of guns is upgrading parts later.  well for me its fun.  oh and any ideas for a truck gun? cheap reliable revolver that i wont care if it gets stolen. well at least not care like my other guns. thinking charter arms 44 bull dog?

I would go with 45acp. unless you reload,  the 357 Sig ammo is going to be pricey.  If you reload then buy either one, cost of ammo should not be a factor.

Hard to advise as I have both. I do like 'different', and like the M&P 357 SIG I bought some time back. But, I reload.

45 ACP would be easier to find and the pistol an easier 'sell', if you decided not to keep it. The market for anything in 357 SIG isn't as large. Umm, that is an understatement..... :))

For me, with hand loads, it's the most accurate pistol I own. Seems I read somewhere that Accurate powder made a similar statement when working up loads for 357 SIG. It was one, if not the, most accurate rounds they'd worked with.

Bottom line, it's your money so you'll have to made the decision. :)

Well I have conversion barrels for my G29 chambered in 40S&W, 357Sig and 9x25Dillon.  The G-20SF has a 6" 9x25Dillon conversion.

Sometimes I carry with a G-30 45ACP...when locally and close quarter encounters.  :-[

I know that Storm Lake makes a 357 sig conversion barrel for the G20 and 20SF (not sure what gens they work for, but I think they fit in gen3 and gen2) in both the 4.6" standard for $160 and the 6.02" long $175.  Glockstore shows them, but I would suggest online chatting with them to ask if they are in stock or not as they show everything not just in stock items  :(

357 sig ammo is definitely pricier than 45 ACP and your options for plinking/range ammo will be limited, however, you do have quality options since Speer makes rounds in the Lawman and Gold Dot lines.  Underwood has 4 products in 2 grain sizes for the nuclear option.

IMO it would seem the best of both worlds to spend the money on the conversion barrel that will let you multi-caliber your G20.  Down the road I am thinking of doing the same thing.  Maybe Shadow can verify, but the internet forums indicate the standard G20 mags work for the 357 sig ammo.

As for 45 ACP, I have been looking casually also.  The RIA GI looks like a good value and I have read good reviews.  The GI look Remington R1 looks nice also.  I personally like the original 1911 look myself.  EAA does make the Tanfoglio in 45 ACP also . . .  ;D

You mean there's a gun that doesn't shoot 10mm?   :o :)) ;D
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?
