Ok, the gun is back in my hands after the incident and I've had every opportunity to over think just about every aspect of the gun, as well as the ammo I build for it.  There is something about a malfunction happen in your hands that tend to make serious thought seem like a good idea.  I think I am at the final state of the gun part of things when the order comes in.

I never got the Glock to dress it up, hang bells and whistles on it, and spend bunches of money on it.  I just wanted a utility pistol in 10mm at a reasonable cost.  I've decided to change the stock barrel for a Lone Wolf stock length to control the amouth of expansion in the fired cases.  The big chamber of the stock barrel may have played a role it the case failure, but its likely poor brass had a greater role.  I also got a spring adapter to fit Gen3 springs into my Gen4, and I bought a 20 lb and a 22 lb recoil spring to use with the heavier loads.  I like heavier loadings, and the springs can only help in the safety department.  That's the plan, anyway.

Just thinking out loud and wanting to stop spending more money on an ugly black pistol that will never be pretty.  Fun to shoot though.
