I doubt you can still find it on GT's 10Ring, due to last year's Great Purge of Old Posts by Eric, but I posted a review of TA's 200gn 10mm loads, the FMJ-FP & the XTP-HP which both do 1250fps/694fpe from a 5" test barrel. My dealer got me 500rds of each load.

Except for a borrowed stock Delta Elite, the ammo ran great in my G20 and S&W 1076. The hiccups in the Delta were mag-related. As far as I'm concerned Karl Vancil at TA makes quality full-strength 10mm ammo. Thankfully, he's stopped confusing would-be buyers by calling his stuff "10mm EXPRESS" ammo, as if it were a different type of cartridge. It's really the 10mm AUTO loaded to the level of velocity & energy that God, Jeff Cooper and Sonny Crockett intended. :biggrin:

Let me also stress a couple of points.

First, the review was posted like 6-months to a year before MCNETT went public with his initial 10mm Double Tap Ammo line-up. DT now offers a wider line-up of 10mm HP & FMJ loads than does TA (that's not a rap against TA, just an observation).

Second, since then Vancil has replaced 2 of his 4 initial TA 10mm loads. The 200gn loads are still offered, but the 135gn 10mm Nosler HP @ 1450fps & 165gn 10mm GDHP @ 1350fps were replaced with a 155gn XTP-HP @ 1450fps/723fpe and a 180gn XTP-HP @ 1350fps/728fpe.

I really liked, and still like, TA's 10mm loads. Plus, Karl Vancil, like MCNETT at DT, is a dedicated 10mm fan. Rather than offering a watered-down .40-duplicating 10mm load, he believes this cartridge should be loaded to its full potential using quality components and the best available bullets.

IMO, we're lucky to have these two guys on our side.  :cool: Just FYI. Hope this helps.

Sorry to disappoint you but this is not the same company. There have been a few different owners with this company name over the past few years. But I do currently hold an FFL#6 and a Texas Business License as the current owner of the Texas Ammunition Co. And I do not manufacture the 10mm round as of yet. I am currently waiting for the brass to become available. If there are any other cartridges you are looking for then let me know. Thank you.

IC, you need to spend some of those Intercooler bucks and buy a Glock 20 to run your tests with in addition to your Witnesses. I like to spend other peoples' money, don't I? 

   The Witness pieces are close to a Glock, just a little better 

   It's a shame this place closed up because these tested really well! I brought the brass back to get measurements because I didn't see any signs of it being warm... But it is!!

Texas Ammo 135gr Sierra HP (EAA Limited 4.75") 1577, 1578, 1550. Average = 1568.33 FPS/ 737 LBS That is good for #2 or #3 on the list to date.

I will get some brass measurements and post it later. It will be interesting to see what powder this is!
