Hey everybody. Newbie to this forum and a 10mm lover!  I've been hanging out on the TanfoglioForum and just found this one. I have a Tanfo StockII and it's one of my favorites, ever. Great shooter, super accurate, awesome looks and quality. Who could want more? 

My ammo of choice is Underwood 155g HP and the 220g hard cast, but I've tried them all at some point. For the range I haul the Underwood and the cheap stuff, mostly Armscor FMJ. It's a weak load, but it works just fine for punching paper.

No great holster for mine, yet, and have been using a universal nylon with a strap (my outdoor range requires it and must have the slide locked open when wandering about). The only mod I've done is to fit a new interrupter (disconnector) to reduce the trigger take-up. Awesome mod.

I've only had two 10mm's, both from Tanfoglio, so not a collector. See y'all on the boards!

You and Intercooler should have lots in common as he has run most every ammo made thru his EAA's...

papacop - It's the factory recoil spring (14-16?). I've never had any issues, and have yet to try a spring change. I do have a Wolff 20lb spring, but I keep forgetting to take it to the range. I was thinking the Underwood loads might like it better, but the slide or stop hasn't been getting beat up. Note to self: put spring in range bag! Doh!

Ouch! You are without a doubt getting slide to frame contact hits. On the beavertail it probably has a hammer contact trench too. I would spring it with a 22lb plus add a Henning cone guide rod and flat bottom.

Intercoolers advise is spot on. Your blowing out U/W 155's a min 20lb spring up to 22lb. The Henning Cone Rod is also a plus. My buddy just got his .45 stock II, you can't put it down

SMF, Argh. I love it, but it doesn't save the body text if you attach a file that's too large. Anyway, to start over again, you guys are scaring me! LOL   I'll attach a few pics (maybe) of my slide and frame. I don't see much of anything going on except normal contact. I'll still try the 20 lb spring and get that rod I've been staring at for months. I'm heading to the range tomorrow to test a few other gun mods, so will report back. Er, never mind, 125k attachments are too bitty... I'll just link the pics.








Yeah, it worked!

First off, no need to be concerned since you more than likely have not fired over 10,000 rounds upon buying,unless im wrong. Henning noticed his .40 cal after thousands, and i mean countless thousands of comp shooting. It's like a long term insurance policy that won't kick in till down the road. Well that's the objective anyway. But shooting 10 will speed it up.

Can you take a picture of the beavertail top surface? My Pro only had 10 or so round on it and got this with a 20lb

 You have marks where the slide has been hitting. It may take a real long time to do any real damage but the small modifications keep you from dealing with EAA 

Couple more pics. Beavertail and frame. Is Henning's cone rod meant to hit the taper instead of slamming into the original stop?

  No hammer mark! You are ahead there and just need a heavy spring to prevent even the Nukes from slamming hard.

    Henning's replacement fixes the factory flaw of the sloppy undersized rod moving around. It uses the entire taper surface to anchor and distribute the load instead of sliding into the opening only.
