Don't come to New Jersey!

(You will hate the laws here as well)

Jersey has crazy property taxes too. I'm liking Delaware for now!

Some of the so called reports do not add up.

Witness testimony states that Green was asked to leave and the door was shut.  He then kicked in the door, was the aggressor and got his ass shot.

Police reports say that when they arrived Green was outside on the deck dead!

That could be a problem, unless they could prove he staggered outside after having been shot.

I also don't buy the whole "friendship" issue with the wife. The decedent was living in the house when the husband was deployed.

Even as liberal as Colorado has become, we still have one of the most 'user friendly' castle doctrine laws in the country. Known as the 'Make My Day' law, it allows for the use of deadly force against an intruder if the homeowner feels threatened or in danger. BTW, The intruder doesn't have to be armed to be considered a threat. I can't imagine what living in a state such as Maryland, with its' extremely anti 2A laws, must be like.

But if he shot his ass while he was outside on the Porch, even Colorado CD would not save him.

According to the article, the intruder was shot once after he breached the door, and then again as he continued to advance, falling back out onto the porch. If the crime scene was staged, the detectives will figure it out. If it happened the way the homeowner said, then yes, in Colorado you would be found innocent of any wrongdoing. Unfortunately, in Maryland it sounds like the odds are almost impossibly stacked against you.

They want a jury to decide because their are so many problems with the case. The shooter has a motive to want the guy dead due to a possible affair.
