I don't think I've heard anyone bring this gun up yet.  Not sure if anyone knows it exists so I thought I'ld throw the info out there.  For all I know it's a fairly new offering and certainly isn't listed under their discontinued products section.  Anyway, for anyone interested;

Full info can be viewed here;  http://cz-usa.com/products/view/dan-wesson-titan/

Again, it's the DW Elite Series Titan.

14 round magazine capacity
5" barrel
4.8 pounds
G10 grip
Black Polycoat receiver finish
Single Action Skeleton trigger
Tritium Adjustable sights
Thumb and Grip safeties
MSRP = $3829.00

They say;
The Titan is based on an all steel, hi-capacity version of the 1911 frame. Arguably the most well-known defensive handgun, transforming the 1911 into a true combat handgun was no easy task. Melding caliber with capacity was foremost in the design process. Our choice of the monstrous 10mm was based on the fact that the it delivers more foot pounds of energy than a .45 ACP and touts 14 rounds in the magazine -- ending the debate over capacity.

Sight configuration was also imperative. The rugged HD night sights are moved forward and recessed deep in the slide yielding target accuracy and extreme durability. The Snake Scale serrations' aggressive 25 LPI checkering and the custom competition G-10 grips ensure controllability even in the harshest of conditions. The combination of the steel frame, bull barrel and tactical rail enhance the balance and durability of the most formidable target-grade combat handgun on the market. The Titan exudes assurance in an uncertain world.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Been interested in these for a couple years
This or an STI Wide Body
BUT, I'll never see that kind of liquid cash

I keep looking at the claimed 4.8 pound weight.  That can't be correct even with a fully loaded mag of heavy rounds, can it???  Does a Desert Eagle even weigh that much?

I asked Keith at DW last year why these were so $$$$ and he said each gun is a custom individual build when ordered, hand fitted and tuned. He did say he couldn't afford on even with his discount.
22LR for plinking, 357 for paper, 10mm for when 45ACP's not enough.

I wish they mentioned that in the listing on the CZ website.  Did he happen to mention turn-around time after placing an order?

Remember this is small outfit owned by CZ and CZ sometimes says what they will build and when. I've often commented that what CZ wanted was an easy in to the always popular 1911 w/o huge investment and build relative high end guns with big profits, IIRC it was CZ's idea for those high dollar double stackers. What DW plans to build at a certain time frame can and is sometimes changed by CZ, sometimes custom orders slow things down, to the place just burning down.

He did say when he was planning to tool up for the revolvers, but to be honest it went in one ear and out the other as it was far enough down the road (more then a month) that CZ could say do more 1911's in 4.25" or some damn thing to screw up that timing. I'm sure he will tell me when they get ready to make a run as I want a custom build 715 with a few mods if possible for them to do. I do remember thinking I would have time to get the other 1911 I want, a Guardian in 38 Super.

Just registered so I could post (^_^)
But I got my titan in November 2012 after a 3 month wait which is a really good turnaround
It does weigh around 5 pounds....but the pistol feels good in your hand.....
And it's easily my favorite handgun I own
14 rounds of 10mm,....very accurate, very reliable after I ran 500 rounds through it to loosen it up
And as a bonus if I run out of ammo I can always use it as a club!

But if anybody is on the fence about it and lives in alabama I'd be happy to let you try it out
Just bring your own ammo

As far as production numbers....well my serial is below 100
Lol I don't think it's gone up that much so it is one of a kind
