OK, here it is. The six cases on the left, old vibratory tumbler cleaned. See how black the insides and the primer pockets are? The six on the right, rotary tumbled wet with steel media.

Me like. Grog like da shining tings!

No doubt the difference is night and day.

Does anyone know if the sonic cleaners do as good a job?  There are quite a few out on the market now.

If the sonic cleaners work just as well as gandog56's rotary tumbler, any thoughts on the pros and cons of them compared to each other?

Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Here's my Rotary Tumbler
I can tumble three different Caliber types at once
and approx 300 - 750 cases at a time
PLUS, I CAN go wet if I'd like

So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

I can't believe I posted this here in two different places. Getting a senile moment there.

No matter how you see it, it fits in both places

The only problem I had was separating the media from the cases. But I saw a youtube video, where he used a small brass separator, held the thing over a cloth very fine mesh bag, and ran water over the brass, shaking the cases up. Media falls through the seperators holes and stay in the bag. Got some cheap cheesecloth bags from ebay on the way, and figure a kitchen colander will work.

For dry, use a Rotary Media Separator, avaialable most everywhere
For wet, use a Covered Colander and leave the Cases to air dry

Oh yeah, spread the brass after tumbling on a dry towel and completely air dried them.

An oven on convection roast at 200 degrees will speed drying a BUNCH :P

gandog56

Yeah, but the towel thing works and doesn't cost me electricity or gas. I was running a second batch and doing some reloading during the drying time, so no time was wasted.

Better shot of the cleaned primer pocket.

Hey, looks like the results are well worth it.  Those black corrosion spots even came clean. WOW!
The picture of them cleaned seem to indicate some stretching/expansion at the case web area.

I didn't size them or trim them yet, as I'm debating putting some or all of 300 .270 cases up for trade.

Yup, that rotary tumbler sure gets the cases clean.

Would I be wrong in assuming that when using the stainless steel media in a rotary tumbler that one just needs to rinse it clean every so often and it most likely has a lifespan longer than I will.   ;D
